Takuya Enoki is the elder son of Harumi Enoki and Yukako Enoki in the Enoki family. He has taken up the task of raising his younger brother Minoru Enoki after his mother dies from getting hit by a truck in a traffic accident and his father has to work.
Takuya is in his sixth year of elementary school for the majority of the manga. Takuya is very popular at school with both girls and boys, because of his kind nature. Takuya is good at both academic and sports but he is quite bad at art.
Takuya is best friends with Gon, and very good friends with Akihiro Fujii.
